Life in Another Country

旅の楽しみはやっぱり食事。
この日もフランスはストラスブルグで
お仕事の終わりに郷土料理に舌鼓しようと
街をさまよう。
歩き回った末に、
伝統を感じる古くてかわいいお店に入店。
中もほっとするような空間で
常連さんらしき人たちが
ワイン片手に談笑中。
こういうお店が一番好き。
ほんのひと時だけど
その国の人々の時間の過ごし方がうかがえる。
常連さんたちは仕事終わりの人たちの模様。
仕事の愚痴を言っているのか、
その日のハプニングを語って楽しんでいるのか
そんな想像をしながらあたしも食事に手をつける。
食事を終えて午後11時。
夜の街に出てもまだたくさんの人がうろうろしていた。
時間がゆっくり、ゆったり流れる。
人生を楽しむ人たちから、
時間の楽しみ方を少し学んだ気がした。

Food is always a fun part of travel
This day I stroll out to the town of Strasbourg, France
To enjoy the local cuisine
After walking around the town
I settle in a old cute restaurant
When I stepped inside it was also a cute and cozy place
I see some regulars
Laughing and talking over wine
I love these kind of places
Just for a moment
I can observe and join the way of life f that country
The regulars seems to be people done with work
While I start my dish, I watch the regulars eat and I imagine
Maybe they are venting out frustrations
Maybe they are laughing over happenings at work
It was 11 pm when I finished my dinner
Strolled out to the night
But found so many people still wandering the streets
The time here is so mellow, so slow
I was the people live and love life
And I was able to learn from them too
